Strange issue with my truck

Ok now that I've lifted my Ranger I see a problem with my bed that I've never seen before. On the drivers side my bed sits about a quarter inch higher than the passenger side. The passenger side is sitting perfect and matches up great with the body grooves on the cab. When isay body grooves I'm talking about the indention that runs down the entire side of the truck. Anyways i went back and looked at some pics of the truck before lifting it and I can see that the bed on the drivers side is high and doesn't match with the grooves on the cab. Anybody know what us up or had this problem? It's not that noticeable unless your searching for it, but it's driving me crazy. I figure since it was high before I lifted the truck it must have come from the factory messed up, so I think I'm gonna put some extra washers above the passenger side front body block and lift it to match the drivers side. Anybody else got any great ideas?

My first guess check out your body mounts one of your rear cab mounts might be messed up. I would see if both sides are properly installed.

It should go in this order:

top:

1-bolt
2-flat washer
3-upper retainer
4-upper cushion
5-body mount braket
6-lower cushion
7-lower retainer

Bottom:

Make sure both brakets are in good shape one could be bent or rusted.

Worn Bushings or rubber things whatever they are called... Mine is about a 1/4" low on the drivers side which I am attributing to the fat owner before me wearing the driverside out faster. also I may have tightened the drivers side a bit more.

This a body lift or suspension lift?

should have just replaced the body bushings while u were in there, thats the culprit

Ok figured out the problem. On the drivers side the body mount rubber spacer behind the drivers seat is not as tall as the passenger side. I took two washers and placed them on the body block and it lifted the cab on the drivers level with the bed, so all is well now.
