creature

I thought it was a hexopus, or a double amputee octopus!

It's part of the fueling system on a Chevy V6. People call it the "spider module." It injects a precise amount of fuel into the injectors, and the injectors put that into the cylinder of the Chevy.

So it's basicly a fuel rail so-to-speak?

I guess that spider's vemon didn't kill me. My hands are finally more normal color.

Besides making a joke of it. Yes, this is from 1996 4.3 Vortec engine in a Chevy Blazer. The Blazer was having issues with hard starting and rough idling. Thou the carbon build-up I discovered too probably didn't help either. So after 5 hours of work of replacing the Fuel Injector spider thing and cleaning the carbon up, the new, improved, updated Fuel Injector spider thingy was put in. Only to discover after I had put everything back together, that the throttle cable is coming apart. So the Blazer is grounded until I get that replaced. No sense in risking it and drive a vehicle with a throttle that can become stuck. But on try, the engine started right up, no problems. But I gotta drive it first to really feel difference.
