Strange Clutch Issue - Intermittently Won't Fully Disengage

Happened on the 97 and now also my 93... I guess I will be doing the MC. any idea how much this might set me back?

Sorry I forgot about this thread! The price will vary pending if you do it yourself or pay to have it done. Less than $200 if you do it yourself.

 is what I look like when I work on 4 wheeled vehicles... I spose I could give it a shot tho

I had the hard shifting into 1st gear all the time especially when my truck was cold. Didn't seem so bad once it started to get warmed up though. However, took it into the shop to have a knocking noise fixed, and well i knew I was losing fluid out of the reservoir it didn't seem too bad at the time, until the shop tried moving the truck a week later after having everything torn apart due to the flywheel being lose causing my original knocking problem. They tried moving the truck and well the master cylinder had failed in it so that's being replaced this week. Hopefully I get the truck back here soon been in the shop for about a month now having the knocking noise problem dealt with, then replacing the oil pan gaskets, and now the clutch master cylinder.

Don't be scared - it's super easy to do. Just search for how to bleed the system. Oh, and DON'T put the push rod into the master until you've got it bolted to the firewall. It won't come back out (ask me how I know.) I bench bled my master, popped everything together, pushed the clutch to the floor and let it pop up. After a few times, everything was great. I couldn't figure out if it was the master or slave. Since the master was ~25 years old and didn't require transmission removal I started there and won the gamble.

Makes perfect sense to me.

Rockauto sells Master for ~60$.
