I have Verizon. I broke down and bought my first smart phone last year and I love it. With Internet etc. etc. it is so cool, and it takes HD video and takes some incredibly great picks as well!! I asked about everything before I bought it and they even let me try out the phone before I bought it. You need to go back to Verizon and ask them these question, Bro. My local Verizon has classes you can sign up for to learn more about your phone....for free.

Well theres nothin wrong with this phone far as i know. on wifi its crazy fast on the internet. my bigget problem is that im supposably on verizon yet i cant get service where other vrizon users do. and my data is way slow. Right now im dwnloading at 50 kbps... i think the problem has to be that this is trac phone service and i need to just break down and sign a contract. not really interested in paying that much per month tho.
And i dont know of any prepaid service of which actually has decent data speeds. I would be happy with a gig. that way i could atleast watch youtube.

3g yet i only get 50 kbps :-(

actually the proclaim isn't on the verizon sattelites its on at&t now the samsung galaxy s3 is on verizon towers i got the proclaim and sent it back 2 days later cause it wasn't on verizon towers and soon to be getting the galaxy s3

I quit using those contract junk phone providers and switched to Cricket. I pay 1/4 of the cost, my bill is always the same, I have unlimited talk, text, and internet, and have yet to have a problem other than the occasional phone that quits working but then again I usually have the same phone for several years and just keep babying them along until the finally give up and I'm forced into getting a new phone or I just disconnect my service for a while.

I feel your pain, i got sprint and my 3g data speeds are terrible, but i dont pay for my phone and we get a discount.

Any one have t mobil?

Several of our friends had T-Mobile for awhile and then they swapped to Verizon. They say the T-Mobile was 100% crap!!

I got t T-Mobile and it works great here. Frankly service depends on your area and phone. You can root it and swap radios but I wouldn't recommend it unless you know what your doing. Or learn before you try. That has had the most impact on service. We live in sticks and my s3 and g2 before it both fully rooted, rommed, and customized get great service. My family in the same house has s2's and a note and they get so-so service. Sometimes the antenna sucks on a model and other times it's just the software. Look up service coverage in your area, and user reports of service.

Regardless of claims no one service has the fastest service. Usually one company has the fastest in YOUR area. Then get a prepaid phone on their network. For example Wal-Mart has cheap prepaid but piggybacks on T-Mobile 's network. Others like cricket have their own network for the most part. If you want quality speed you might just have to get a better phone, service, or both.

Do you always get slow speeds? Try turning off mobile data then turning it back on. That causes the phone to lock on to the nearest tower. Otherwise sometimes it stays locked on a further away tower
