This is what I want to do...is switch my 4cyl for a straight six....

Or a diesel would be even cooler.

Probably will not work..but thought i'd ask

I found this engine for cheap....was wondering if it will fit in my truck without a great deal of modification..?

my truck details are on the left

6 cyl is too long to fit in the bay.You would have to relocate the rad to a different spot.Put some hot rod stuff in your 2.5 or turbo or a V8

Will it fit? Yes.

Without a great deal of modification? No.

Search around a bit, it's been done before.

You basically have to severely modify the fire wall and make a new transmission tunnel.

it would be lots of choppin, grinding and welding, wanna go fast, put a small block ford in there, lot less of a headache.

if it's out of a mustang it would be a little easier to fit in an ranger then lets say a 300 inline, but you would still have to put the radiator if front of the radiator support and probably massage the trans tunnel a bit.

I say go fer it :icon_hornsup:
