Ok, this has been bothering me for a while. I'd like to get some ideas from you guys before I tear into it again (when I get a chance) because I haven't been able to figure it out.

I do know the truck hit something... pretty hard too... before I owned it. Grill and header panel were cracked, new bumper, new windshield, fender is dented from the bumper stabbing it... you know the deal. I also had it lowered for a while (DJM 4/5).

Anyways, here's what I've got going on:
- shakes under breaking (posted this in the brakes section too, with other issues)
- doesn't seem to hold alignments well, and goes in and out of alignment (as far as tracking goes, sometimes perfect and sometimes not)
- right front control arms came loose and almost fell off once (I blamed the shop on that one, but it might not totally be their fault)
- groaning from the right front over bumps (was worse when it was lowered, but has gotten worse now that it's back up) which would go away for a few miles when I greased the control arm bushings when it was lowered but if I went through a puddle (it rains a lot here) then it would groan again
- sometimes after a low speed (like not registering on the speedo) but sudden stop, or going between 1st and reverse, I will hear a snap/pop and feel something move in the right front
- sometimes there's shaking/vibration at highway speeds, but sometimes there's not

What's been done so far:
- new Moog upper control arms (with ball joints and bushings)
- new lower ball joints
- new rotors/hubs (with wheel bearings)
- sway bar end links look good
- lower control arm bushings looked good
- frame was measured by the alignment shop and they said it checked out

I've got a a few guesses, but I'm still stumped. (On the brakes I'm thinking the RF caliper is hanging up and the lines may need bleeding, but I've posted that in the brake section.) I'm still not convinced that the frame isn't bent... Tires could be playing a small role in some of the vibrations, and I need to rotate them to see if that helps at all. Maybe the right sway bar bushing is bad. The RF lower control arm could be bent/warped slightly. I do need shocks, but I'd like to get this fixed first so that I know the new shocks aren't masking any of the problems.

Any other thoughts?

Oh wow... never got any hits on this thread.

Anyways, the greasable Energy Suspension sway bar mounts got rid of one noise, and the DS caliper was hydro-locking.
I'm thinking the other noises are caused by the crap Pepboys rotors my dad installed. After replacing almost everything up front he finally told me that the wheel bearings wouldn't seat properly because the PepBoys parts were such crap. So aside from them probably warping right away, the bearings and hubs are totally screwed too. I'm replacing those a.s.a.p. and that should hopefully get rid of the rest of the noises.

the shake and noise are prob from the front disks (as you said) are prob y its doing that if they get warped or glazed if its glazed you can sand then if its warped i think your local napa might be able to fix them but it may be the same price for new ones not sure though

Yeah, the rotor is warped, again. I'd have it resurfaced, but the hub part of it is crap too. My dad couldn't get the bearings pressed in properly. I just want to get new ones that don't suck.

Well since the thread popped back up...

I'm trying to dig up some knuckles for 11.28" rotors. Might as well upgrade a tad if I can, right? Hopefully I can find a set with rotors on them that are in decent shape.

Also, I threw on some KYB Gas Adjust shocks not too long ago. Nothing great, but they get the job done.

I think the 11.28 rotors can be put on your truck. and you dont press the bearing into the hub. the race gets pressed into the hub if it isnt already when you get a new one but the bearing are held in with the wheel seal and the spindle nut... and i have the problem of sometimes when i shift in reverse i hear a snap or pop. hasnt done anything yet so im not worried
