stock ranger tranny mount

The Rubber mount? Yeah, it's the SAME mount used on Econolines and most F-series trucks.

The crossmember? No it'll need to be relocated

Why wont it hold up? What do you mean moved? Mine hasn't been moved but maybe its because mine mounts differently?

He's talking about this:

The crossmember I made is the exact same as the old crossmember and mounted in the same place as the old one, except the new mounting holes are about 3"+ more forward(on this T-5).

On an automatic, I do not know, but it might be more forward yet.

On my AOD it mounts the same place my 4 speed and transfer case mounted. With the 4 speed the mount was on the transfer case and on the aod its on the tailhousing

Well mine doesnt mount like that. Mine has one bolt on the bottom of the left framerail and the left side mounts to the inside of the rail. I have several different holes for my crossmember but it has been in the same spot the whole time

Where the crossmember needs to be depends entirely on the exact position
the engine is mounted and the exact transmission used.

Not all transmissions are the same length.

BTW, Wade, you boxed your frame?

No. See my signature. I'm pretty much stock. Tryin' to keep it that way. Tryin' to put things where they would be following OEM configuration(s).

But, I think I understand what you're tryin' to get at. Still, don't intend to box the frame -- on an intended Daily Driver.

In the pic you posted of the "inside pass side frame rail" makes it looked boxed.
