OK I purchased from Flebay some coils .
I was told by a mechanic friend that I need to jack up and mount frame on stands and place jack under arm to remove top shock mount to get more travel and spring should come out rather easily .
Can anyone confirm or deny such method? do I need to fork the ball joint?
I read forking them destroys the boot , confirm or deny?
Any tips or trick would be greatly appriciated

Depends on what coils your are putting in. If they are more than 2" lift coils, then you'll need all new brackets too

........snoogans

Ok then you should be able to do that. If not rent a spring compressor from Autozone. But I have to ask, why?

got a busted one on teh passenger side , I prefer the ride height as it is , but did go to a variable spring . I dont have much cash (unemployed) so stock has to do for now .
