i have a 2.3 ranger with a stock trans. i want to put a borg warner 4 speed i rebuilt from a turbo t-bird i know im going to have to get a exturnal slave cylinder to push my fork in. but how about the trans mount will i have to move it???

You might... I'm going to be finding that out pretty soon. I just need to measure some things and then I'll let you know.

Are you sure your tranny is a 4 spd? I'm doubting that it is, but there's several ways to tell. Do you have to push down on the shifter knob to go into reverse? (down-left-up)

I am also going to say that having a different tranny crossmember would solve that question easily. In the mid-80s, rangers came with a crossmember that mounted inside the frame rails. I'm using that one on my '94 and I don't have to worry about anything lining up, because all I have to do is slide it backward or forward and re-drill some holes to keep it mounted to the rails.

Like I said though, I'll get that measurement up on here sometime soon.
