So my ranger being a normal under powered 2.3l seemed to turn out pretty high doing 75. Which is about 3k. After looking into it I found out y ranger has a type 87 rear end, which are 4.10's. I was just wondering, are 4.10's a common thing in stock rangers with 15" tires, or is it just because I have the 2.3/5speed/4x4.

they arent extremely common, but they arent all that uncommon either. my 87 supercab had a 2.9/auto from the factory and it came with 4.10's. the donor for my d35 was also a 2.9/auto. 4.0's never had gears that deep, neither did 2.9/manuals. i wouldnt be at all surprised to see them in a 2.3 truck though.

All 4 cylinder 4x4 Rangers got 4.10's because they need them :), they're most common on those but were available as an option on other models...
