With the price of a d60 I could easily score a set of 3/4 or even half tons. But I wanna run 35-37's the wheelin here isn't hard on much so is it okay to say that I could run like a d44/9 combo and be fine?

With 35-37s a 44 and 9" will be fine. But if you have plans of moving up in tire size eventually a 44 won't cut it.

I don't think that I will because I do drive it on the street and everything around here is has 33's on it.

Do you think they would hold a v8 or like a 4.0?

You realize they had Dana 44's and 9" axles in Bronco/F-150's. And they had v8's.:icon_twisted:

If it matters, I'm putting a dana 44 in mine!

Yes but they weren't running 37's. Or does that nit really matter? Just figured I'd ask before I start grenading parts lol

You will be fine even with a 302 as long as you don't wheel with your foot to the floor. Just keep and eye on the u joints and clips. Check/grease them after every wheeling trip and you should be fine.

Thats a good deal! I have found out these things are spendy!

I'm completely rebuilding my front axle...here's what I have

-Axle $250
-Ring and pinion $230
-Brakes (Rotors, calipers, pads) $125
-Bearings (Inner and outer) $71
-Inner hub seal $15
-760x U-joints $56

What I need...
Locker (Aussie) $250
Ball joints $120
Hubs $95
Spindle bearings $15
New spindle ~$100
Carrier $80
Brake lines ~$100
Axle shaft shortened/resplined $55

I've already spent $747 and I still need to buy $737 worth of parts. Not to mention I need to get my driveshaft figured out, steering, track bar, coil springs, wheels/tires, coil buckets, shocks, and I need to build a set of radius arms using 1.25" heim joints.

So all in all when I'm done I will have over $1600 just in the front!!!
