I have a 92' ext cab on 31's with explorer leafs in the rear and 2 inch spacers in the front. I like the height the truck sits at but its way too stiff for the roads I drive every day. I was wondering if anyone has any ideas about what springs to put in that would keep it at the same height but also have a nice ride. 2 inch leveling coils are shit I already tryed them they are even stiffer then what it is now.

I don't know what spring you tried in the front for 2" leveling... but I used the Skyjacker ones on a prior truck (Ranger extended cab short box) and thought they were softer than the originals. Maybe your problem is in the shock resistance and not the springs.

I had the trailmaster coils, they weren't much longer but way heavier. I dont know about the shocks there pro comp I dont think they have any extra resistance

swap the explorer rear springs out for some stock ranger springs, then install extended shackles. this should soften the rear up without costing you any ride height.

Your gunna lose stock ride comfort when you lift your vehicle, I would start with the shackes like wicked suggested then I would ditch those spacers and get some lift coils, I have 2" lift coils from suspensionmax.com and they aren't to stiff, then I would get some good shocks and should help out quite a bit and take care off your stiff problem lmao

I would try the skyjacker coils but im not sure if they will lift it the full 2 inchs. I cant find shackles for the rear they say nobody makes them because of the bushing, thats probably bs but thats alright im keeping the explorer leafs for towing.

belltech 6400 shackles (for lowering fullsize chevys) provide 2" lift in the rear.

i tow all the time with my stock leaf pack. proper loading and, if need be, a weight distributing hitch go a looong way.

I would try the skyjacker coils but im not sure if they will lift it the full 2 inchs.

If they don't, just add some large washers under the lower spring seats until you have your 2" lift.

Install some F31 deavers in the back and four or six sand bags to bring it down an inch then call ebaich or national or deaver to custom make your front coils or look for the correct rear jeep lift coils
I tow with my deavers i have a 85 B2 that rides on my 16' carson carhauler behind my 2002 4x4 fx4 Ranger. no complaints

I had the same problem on my 83. All I did was mount a couple of spares in the bed and it smoothed out the ride quite a bit. The only problem is that you won't be able to haul much stuff but for 4 wheeling it worked for me.
