sticky hubs?

Hi new to this form and first post. Just purchased 06 ranger with stock hubs. I noticed the front driveshaft was turning in two high, trans motor is good and smooth so it must be the hubs stuck engaged. Are they vacuum applied and spring released and the o ring just a seal ?

Live axle, always engaged, no hubs as you seem to understand the concept, use search function, comes up once every month or so.
