i have a 87 b2 with the overdrive and im changing over to a fm146. question i have is wiring. the wiring from the auto to stick, is it the same on the trans? can i bypass the nut. start switch thats on the trans? i just need the rev. light switch hook up.

This has been discussed a few times, search and ye shall find.

And unless you have the FM146 already sitting around, a M5OD is a better swap.

you can jumper the auto wiring harness so it will start (the neutral safety switch). You ca. Also get a plug for the reverse lights and tap it into the auto wiring harness.

Above is what we did on the 2 manual swaps I have worked on. My buddy is getting a manual harness for his '86 Bronco II. The only thing with the harnesses is the engine harness and trans harness are one unit.
