1994 Mazda B3000 V6 3.0L 5-speed manual (Ford Ranger in denial, I call it)

Pulled up in the driveway, turned of the engine, was in 3rd and it seemed to want to roll back. Shifted into 2nd, but felt wierd, so I turned it on and tried to shift up to first. Seems stuck. Check Oil light came on earlier, and all other fluids appear good. I smell a BURNING CLUTCH smell as well, hope all is not f**ked yet.

I understand this requires gear oil, as opposed to tranny fluid, bit i have two questions about that. First. what size socket do i use on the plug and second, is the plug standard or reverse thread? Stupid question, but on the off chance it's reversed, i dont wanna go tearing things up.

Any help or advice is appreciated.

its big, i think 22mm. std "righty-tighty,lefty-loosey" threads. whatever is wrong is beyond fixing with a simple fluid change.

It's bigger than 22mm ... I just ended up a big crescent wrench.
