I had a crazy thought. I was thinking if anyone has taken a stepside bed from a 94-prsent ranger and installed on a 1st gen ranger.

I've seen it done, but the body lines dont line up and it looks like complete ass.

Okay, so the body lines don't line up. there's only one and with a bit of effort it can be removed to smooth it out. I haven't done it or even seen it done, but have two stepside Rangers.
There were manufacturers that made stepside beds when the first gen Rangers were new. The beds didn't look bad, but I would think that the Ford stepsides would look better than those and be a bit higher quality also.

I used to see one on my way to work, first few times I saw it, it was a work in progress. After it was all finished and painted to mach it looked pretty darn good, could hardly notice the body lines!

I have a stepside and i'm looking for a straight bed haha. I found a 94' bed locally so im looking into buying that and doing the swap, love my truck just not a stepside guy which sucks considering its a splash :icon_rofl:
