I have installed a 6" skyjacker class I lift kit on my 94 ranger and factory coil spacers from ford and had it aligned but when cornering it seems like something is changing in the middle of the turn, the truck like kind of falls over. And i had my father in law in front of me when driving down the road and he said every time i went around a corner the tires looked like they were out of alignment. Is the pitman arm not dropped enough for the spacers? Do I need superunner steering? Did the alignment shop do a bad job?

If you also installed the coil spacers, you need the Skyjacker Extreme drop pitman arm.

So how much total lift do you have on there now? Once you get to 6" it can be tough to get your steering right.

You need an extreme drop pitman arm, which will put excessive force on your gearbox, and you may need to make some other adjustments.

Yep, unless you specifically ordered the #FA600 pitman arm with your kit, your steering linkage is most likely propped up at an angle, creating massive toe in/out bumpsteer.
That linkage is supposed to be almost flat (like when it was stock).

Unfortunately you're not alone either, nearly every kit sold out there the pitman arm is too short on (they only drop about 2" from stock, 4" too short for a 6" lift). They don't tell you this when you buy it either :no2:

I like to think someday the suspension industry will get it together and do something about the steering on these things, but this has been an ongoing problem for 20+ years now (that #FA600 arm came about maybe around 10 years ago, but they still don't include it with the 6" lifts for whatever reason, only 8" lifts, which the steering is totally ridiculous on anyway)

Thanks for the help guys I'm gonna get the extreme drop arm
