steering shudder

doubtful the tie rod nuts are to tight. I have had this "shudder" take over 20 miles to get rid of it regardless of how long the truck sits and runs. It just simply needs to be driven to work the air out.

copy that...so long as, all things considered, i wont be doing damage, ill make my errands as usual tomorrow and just note whats going on.

lol, thought about it. its managed to get better, nearly seems to be gone from just getting around town. i was a little freaked out about this whole thing, thinking i wailed on the inner tie rods to hard loosening the old, or installing the new and tweaking the rack unit somehow...

Steering Shudder

Thanks for this info.

You guys just saved me a few hours of work... I replaced the end links, shocks, rotor and hub assembly, brakes, seals and bearings this past few days. I drove to the garage to mount new rubber and the steering shudder was terrible. I figured I'd have to check bearings and see what else might need attention so I googlefoo'd a question and your forum popped up...

A few laps around the block and several figure 8's in the street and all is well with the little truck..

Thanks again!
