Steering shaft?

Is this my steering shaft? Should I make this a priority?

That is often called the steering intermediate shaft because it's between the steering wheel and the steering gearbox.

Ok. The boot is inn3 pieces. Replace immediately or can I hold off a bit?
 
Eh. It's up to you. It doesn't do much up there. Easier to inspect the u-joints without it. If you think you might get a lot of mud up there in the future, it would help keep the u-joints clean and prolong their life.

I don't think there ever even was a cover on mine. :dunno:

If there was it fell off years ago without me noticing.
