The steering on my 1990 seems off, Ive driven alot of Rangers now, lifted and non lifted, and this steering in this Ranger doesnt seem right. Im wondering If I still have to stick pitman arm? I have a 4" lift, but never dealt with the pitman arm before... help?

Also im seriously considering a SAS, and I was wondering if supper runner steering would work with a Solid axle?? I dont have the front axle yet but If I was to buy the steering kit has anyone used it with there solid axle? Just a thought.

Post up a picture of the front end and we'll be able to tell you if the pitman arm may be an issue.

I don't think the SuperRunner system would work with a solid axle, and even if it would it's way more complicated than a traditional setup, so why bother?

Are you sure it is aligned correctly and that none of the joints are worn out? These drag-link systems can be fussy. It doesn't take much to throw them out of alignment and it doesn't take but a little play in one of the 4 joints to make them feel odd either. If you just lifted the truck and haven't aligned it yet your camber and caster are way off and both will affect steering feel/performance.
