Ok, I've put 4 of the Teflon(?) seals on my pressure line to pump. The first couple, I tightened way too much. The next one was close but had a small kink in it and leaked a little. I had another new seal so I figured that I'd fix it. I put it on and just snugged it up. It leaks worse than the old one.
What is the trick? I dont have a way to measure torque on an open end/Line wrench. Any help?

Two options:

1. You can estimate torque directly -- measure the length of your wrench in feet, divide the torque spec by that, and pull that hard on the end. Kinda rough.

2. There is a such thing as a flare nut crow's foot. You have to calculate the torque correction, but it's very accurate.
