those will cause you the same problems as the 89500's, the axle will smash those things to pieces.

your best bet is the tri-y headers or a shorty header.

do u have a mig welder? i think some one makes a kit for custom headers u just tack them and cut the bends then take them out and weld them solid if not im sure an exhaust shop can help make them i would get everything else working and in the right place before u do the headers tho cuz if u get some and start cutting on the frame and other things then u move the motor now u got things cut up for no reason idk much about doing a swap but thats what i would do. i like the name too lol

. i like the name too lol
well now i see its not original, but i doubt well be in the same place at the same time :annoyed:

i saw a kit today and thought about it but i dont think i have the patience to do it and im not good at cutting straight lines.

yeah but i gotta get the headers in and o2 sensors in so i can get it running before i can take it to get the exhaust done. im thinking my best bet tho is to hammer some dimples into the ones that are on it and make em work. plus i like the fact that theyre cheap.

is your truck gloss or flat black?

its like semi gloss i didnt want flat cuz u cant clean it at all and u still cant clean this paint haha i dont recommed painting semi or flat on a truck that ur gonna drive all the time im gonna gloss it when i fix my windshield and cab "its been rolled 2 times in its life" not by me tho the old guy who owned it lol. do u have the stock headers like manifolds just use them if they fit to get it there

well at least they wont be the same then cuz mines going rustoleum flat black. plus its gonna be street only and if i happen to scratch it somehow i can fix it real easy.
but no i dont have the stock manifolds. all i got are the headers i ordered. the ones in the pictures so far are the best ive tried and i think may end up being permanent unless someone lets me know of the perfect option. i got 2 spark plug boots, and the steering shaft i gotta pound the tubes in a bit for and it should be good.

thats a good idea lol my friend had a flat black s10 he just spray caned it lol u truck will be a sleeper just prep it reallllllllyyy!!!!! good before u spray lol it wil turn out good get it everything else all hooked up then worry about headers just use what u got now to make it work

i got the hood and the engine compartment painted and its looks nice. i doesnt look like a cheap spray can job. i was pleasantly surprised by it.

but yeah i think thats my best bet, im looking now to replace the lower rag joint w/ a u joint for extra clearance and ease but theyre like $60 for the cheap ones.

yeah i just went out to the garage quick and its 37 deg. but its better than the 11 degrees outside w/ windchill at -6. but the cold is whats slowin me down and i dont like it. i gotta get goin on this damn thing.

well finally got some work done today.
headers modified to clear steering and spark plugs, and wrapped, new speedo cable and speed sensor in, plug wires hooked up ( of course the fancy wire holders are too small for the wires) remote filter mounted, radiator support back in, got wiring hid a little better, and had to shave the fan a bit for clearance for the hood latch. and i checked and the hood clears the radiator fill by about 1/4".
i think thats about it.
oh and does anyone know what size nut goes on the motor mount stud? and what power steering lines should i get?

yesterday i finished boring out the egr spacer to 65mm like the throttle body is supposed to be and i brought it home and the throttle body bore is actually larger so i gotta bore the spacer out more. also im gonna shorten the driveshaft about an inch and a half cuz if i cut anymore ill be hitting the weights and i dont wanna mess up the balance too much. but hopefully thatll give me enough room for suspension compression.
