Staying original, which is the best p205/75R14 all weather tire?

On a 1987 Ford Ranger 2wd XLT, which tire available today, that’s an all year around, good tire, that’s also a p205/75R14 AND has white lettering? This seems to be a very uncommon size tire, but used to be very common on small 2wd pickups and passenger cars, built in the 80’s.

Does Michelin make this size tire with white writing? Is it an all around good quality tire for this application?

Your best bet would be to check Tire Rack or 1010 tire to see what is out there. From what I see, everything is just passenger car rated tires. So see what has gotten the best overall reviews and go from there.

Get white lettering out of your mind and you'll find more options. Then if you want white letters buy a tire pen and do it yourself. Tire pens cost like 5 bucks and last a year or so before needing a touch up unless you curb it alot.

I do white lettering on my 65 mustang because that was the "original" look. But trying to find proper tires with white lettering limits my options to like 2 crappy tires. I buy the ones I want and paint them myself.

Agreed, good luck. my last ranger had the 14's and people looked at me like I had a fish on my head when I said I was need 205-75-14's. They are like "for a trailer right?" 14's and 15's are starting to be the old 13's. What used to be popular is now a dying breed. Good luck with your search. You could get 15's with the same size ratio and still have that "original" look you want. I agree with the tire pen too. Would definitely help get more options for tires.

Can someone make me custom tires? Like maybe the old Firestone Supreme p205/75r14 from 1987? Or maybe a really good Michelin quality rubber and tread, but have the tires say Firestone Supreme on the side, in white writing?

I got a bridge for sale too, if your interested?:icon_rofl:

I'd like to order a Dodge Mustang while your at it.

Did you honestly ask if Michelin would make you a tire that says Firestone? You know those are their own separate companies right? Good luck with that.

No they’re not. Michelin makes better tires, though.

I want Michelin tread and rubber material and I want it to rightly say, “Firestone Supreme” on the side... I think thats only fair...

Nothing "rightly" says Firestone anything.

Unless it's a mid-sized SUV laying on it's roof on the side of the highway.
