Starting the 4.0 swap. First trs post


Both vehicles look pretty good really. Hope the swap goes well for you.

The 2.8 in the B2 was overheating and had no power. Don't even want to fix it just gonna do the swap.
Other than that these are defiantly some decent rides to start with.

yea those are really nice, i wish i could find a gen1 expo like that but mone is beat up and and leaks water but so far she hasn't left me stranded but i really wanna swap the 4.0 over to my b2 but dont really have the know how so i'm just fixing the front end of the expo's front end then maybe doing a body swap
 
Progress so far!

So, we installed 3 in body lift the front seats from explorer, and pulled motor and tranny. It's 60 degrees and sunny today too.

How was putting the body lift, I might be picking on up and I have never done anything like that?

Body Lift

A three inch body lift on a BII is pretty easy. If you can follow directions it's pretty straightforward. The hardest part for me was reinstalling the steering shaft with the extender installed. The entire kit is like 10 body mounts with hardware and a steering extender. Kit cost about $110
