Hi guys I`m new here and have a problem ,I have a 1991 4.0L 4x4 auto Ranger. The motor will turn over several times and not start, turn the ignition switch again and all I hear is one click, turn the ignition switch again sometimes it starts and sometimes all I get is the click again.I`ve cleaned all the terminals from starter to the soleniod ( put new one in) and to the battery .The battery is good ,also changed some of the connection to see if that help but it did not.Could it be the neutral safty switch?Truck runs fine after it starts.

Try checking your fuel filter and your fuel pump. The filter is cheap and should be done as a maintence item anyway. You can try to test your fuel pump if you got the tools or know a guy. :icon_thumby:

Got fuel ,have problem in the starting system somewhere.
