ive got an 88 Ranger 2.9/auto 4x4.For a while it started as soon as the starter turned. Now it takes a few seconds an acts like its a little bit flooded.I rev it up for a second or so and it seems fine.Any ideas?

Just put a blower motor and resistor on it today (getting ready for winter). Now my blower works on all the speeds and motor isnt noisy.

Thanks!!!

Both of mine act the same way at various times through the year. I think it is temp related but I haven't ever worried about it enough to pay much attention. If it catches before I let off to let the start cool down, it isn't a problem.

The EFI regulator has a vacuum line to the intake, if the regulators diaphragm gets a small leak you can get raw fuel pulled into the intake after sitting.
Simple check is to pull that vacuum line and smell it or if gas comes out .........

Probably not the issue but easy to check.
