Hi,
I posted this problem about a month ago with no response. Hopefully with a bit more information, you all can help me out. 96 2.3L 2wd XLT
I was installing my overhead console and disconnected the negative battery terminal clip and ended up breaking it an installed a new one, this is when the problem started.
After the truck sits overnite or all day while im at work, I attempt to start it and it hesitates. It takes about 3 times to get it to fire and when it does, it ildes rough and sounds like it wants to stall and when i press the gas to get the idle to flatten out it sputters. Once it finally starts im ok and it runs great. If i drive somehwere and shut it off and restart it, i dont have the problem.
I just had it to my local wrench and he looked at, and after needing some new parts, a fuel filter, fuel pump, coil pack and IAC, i am still having this problem. He didnt put all this in for that problem, as the fuel pump was going and Ive never changed the fuel filter, so.........
Can anyone give me any insight as to what may be going on here ? I also put new plug wires on last year as well
