This is not about a ranger but a mustang. My sons car had a new clutch fly wheel and new starter. We have put five starters in it scents than. It acts like the starter doesn't go in far enough and it starting to grind off the out side of the new flywheel. Is there a different in a atomatic starter and the standard starter or what could be wrong? Thanks joey!

Yep, that's your problem, difference in the two starters. Forgot which one but the nose is longer on one. Your not the first one. What year by the way?
