Starter problem

After getting into a small accident, I let my 94 B3000 sit for a few months because the tie rod and drag link got bent. Now that I've fixed those problems, I'm getting an intermitting starting problem. It seems to occur only when I'm in an isolated or far away place. When I turn the key it clicks but the starter doesn't turn. I have to do this several times before the starter works. Of course when I'm at home and try testing it, it always works. Could it be the starter is bad or the maybe the connection because I let it sit?

Check the connections at the battery and relay on the fender. Even if they are tight, you still may need to take them off and clean them. I've had this problem before and it can be quite frustrating.

at the starter

Check the small wire at the starter. My 93 4cylinder had a large and small wire at the starter, the small wire was connected but loose.
