This bundle of wires goes to the starter motor from the battery. It's wrapped with black stiff plastic. It passes under the motor to get to the starter. Does it go in FRONT of the motor mount (driver's side), or BEHIND it? Thanks. 95 B2300. I asked the question in the Mazda forum, but nobody answered in 3 weeks. Rangers are similar, I think.

Where ever the slack allows it to lay naturally and out of the way is most always the correct position.

could you look at yours and let me know if it passes in front of the motor mount to go under the engine?

I'll look in the morning for you. Mine is a 93 2,3 Ranger though not a 95 Mazda...so there are no guarantees that even though the engines and trans are the same certain wires are as well.....

Just make sure the wires will not get pinched, will not get burn and have enough slack and you'll be fine. Its not an open heart surgery.. it'll be fine ;-)
