Started my Ranger today.

I've been a member for a few years. This is my first post. I started my 86 4x4 2.9 today for first time in about 5 years. I ran some Marvel oil through the cylinders and installed a new battery. It started with the first touch of the key.

I also bought a 89 Ranger in November. That one has a 302 with a sweet sounding exhaust. I haven't had a car with exhaust sounding like that since the seventies. Do they still hand out tickets for loud exhaust?

What are the plans for the 86? That's great to hear that it started so easily.

My immediate plans are for exhaust, wheels and tires. I have my eye on nineties something wrecked Explorer that would like to buy and scavenger some parts from. Later I would like to paint it.
I had the transmission rebuilt a few years ago and the motor is good.
