As I read this I got the impression that the tax proposed here is intended to get the Electric Vehicle drivers to be paying some sort of usage tax on the roads, not exempting them from it. It's still a load of bull since it will hit fossil fuel powered owners double. It'd be much easier to put a secondary meter on the charging units for those cars. I also see the "feasibility studies" and the "administrative costs" taking up far more than the revenue that will be generated from something like this. It would take years to set up, years more to break even, and is just generally a bad idea. We need less government. When they learn to pear back and cut their costs and STICK TO A GOT-DANGED BUDGET like the rest of us have to do, then maybe we can get some traction back as a nation.
