hey guys i went in the ditch on sunday in a bad snow storm and now my ranger stalls driving down the road and wont restart. This is really agravating and im now stuck at my moms an hour away from home in the country. I went to a local shop i know of and they put it on the computer and it doesnt pop ne codes or nothing. I left the shop drove down into town and it did it again. Ive checked the inertia switch and it was ok. Im trying to get under it and check to c if theres a fuel line crimpd or something but theres so much snow i cant. i just replaced the fuel pump 2 months ago and replaced the fuel filter when i did that.my dad told to check the ignition module and thefuel lines. The only problem is i dont have my manual to tell me where the ignition module is. If ne one could help it would sweet. The truck is a 95 2.3l 5 sp. manual.

well you either have an ignition problem or fuel problem, so i would check your distributor and see if it broke, if you have a DIS check the coil packs and make sure they are okay, as for the fuel i cant think of what would cause it to do that. my truck will do that sometimes when i first start it and start driving and if i let off the gas and let it idle it stalls out and it wont start uless i crank it over for about 30 seconds. for your fuel check the pressure regulator and check your fuel lines. also check your spark plug wires. hope that helps.

thanx man! i just got a creeper for christmas so later after the fam is done visiting im gonna go test it out. i had an issue with it 3 weeks ago where it was acting like it was running on 2 cylinders and my water pump went. i replaced the water pump and noticed a bunch of antifreeze on tyhe cps and i dried it up. but it still was actn up. so i got the bright idea and pulld a plug wire off my new coil pack that i got. after pulling two wires of and putting them back on it ran great in fact better than it did. so im starting to wonder if replacing the intake side coil pack and not both of them cuased some kind of problem. I think u r right about ignition cuz it stalld at walmart yesterday and wouldnt start, so i took the same plug wires off again turned it over couple of times then put them back on. wouldnt u know it it started right up. if u guys have ne thoughts/ ideas please reply back i have go home tomorrow and i dont want to completely break down on the way home.
