I was at the dealership today and realized that none of the Rangers on the lot had them. Are they available on any model?

Look at the extended cabs too?

They didn't have any. Just crew cabs,
I figured someone here would have one. ;)

I never paid attention. The bed has always been covered since I got it with either a tonneau cover or the cap. I never used them on any of my trucks. Maybe that is why they have all those bed rack options now....

The bed on a new one is probably almost as deep as the bed on a old one with with bedside extensions...

I know the short box F-150’s dont have them so I wonder if the longer bed Rangers do.

Looking at the interior bed profile, I would say there isn't. I don't want to mess with my cap to find out. Fiberglass caps can be pretty heavy when they have a reinforced roof.

I guess I meant the bed rail caps. I haven’t spent a lot of time looking at my truck yet.
Also, what cap did you get, I’m looking at the Leer

I got a Leer. Pics are in a thread I created in the 2019 section on the subject of what is available.

anyone look under the bed caps to see what lurks there?

I saw a photo... there are numerous small holes. The plastic bed rail caps have fasteners that go through those holes.

So basically sounds like what the old Explorer Sport Trac looked like under theirs. Well, I'll have a cap soon so it won't matter.

I think that might be why Ford made a deal with aftermarket companies for different types of racks to bolt onto the bed.
