i don't even watch football, or tv, but here at work we have a bunch of bandwagon cowgirl fans and if the cowgirls are having a good year, its all blue and silver. if they are having a bad year, you don't hear anyone talk about them at all.
growing up in socal, i had a paper route as a kid and the newspaper would pick us up sometimes after school to go and walk around and ask people if they would want to start a subscription. after we did that, they would take us to a little pizza place called capones pizza (somewhere in riverside ca) for pizza. it was the perfect set up for getting people to walk around and sign up new customers, give kids pizza and soda each day. i went every time. anyways, t he pizza place always had sports on the tvs and it was always a california team (duh) so i grew up watch the lakers and 49ers play. i never watched the other cali team play much because those were the years the lakers and 49ers seemed to do well, late 80s to early 90s.
after that, it was back to not watching tv and only being outside since my mom would tell us we had to go outside if it wasn't raining (and we were on a seven year drought back then so....)
