I need a cheap front extendable driveshaft soo square tubing is the easiest choice for a trial only truck. Will the slip yoke be stiff enough to allow the tubing to separate or will it still just pull out the slipyoke. This is the only problem Im having with my SAS to much travel and flex and with leaf springs no less.... OO and my plastic collar that originally was on the front shaft is long gone somewhere in the woods.

What you need to do is take your measurement at full droop and at full compression, then take two different sized tubings, like 2" and 2.5" (so one slides inside the other) 0.25" thickwall, leave at least 8 inches of pipe engaged at full droop. you could use pvc as a trial fit. The more tubing you have engaged the stronger your dshaft wil be. Just be sure you don't have too much so it does not bottom out at full compression
