Sputter and raw oil out exhaust

I've got a 2001 with the 2.3 duratec and it burns an insane amount of oil. I'm talking about a gallon every week and a half. It doesn't smoke much, just spits raw oil out the exhaust. Gets all over the bedside and the tailgate.

Drove it for a couple weeks and it got a sputter, but only when I would mash the gas. If I was easy on it then it wouldn't sputter and it would quit regardless once it got past about 2500 rpms. Now it's gotten worse, it spits and sputters pretty much all the time unless I'm extremely light on the pedal. Still uses the same amount of oil and still doesn't smoke too bad.

I've put up with it because I've had to get to work but now I can finally put some money into it. I don't know much of anything about these things so any help you guys can give me would be great.

Raw unburnt oil out the exhaust means you are leaking pressurized oil into the exhaust stream. Likely a crack in the head passing oil after the combustion. Suck damage could have run ability issues if it gets worse. Have the head removed for inspection and stop driving it before it blows up.
