Sport Trac vs. Tiburon

Is that the emergency fuel pump shutoff switch? I believe that's it.

On my 98 Ranger it's located behind the passenger side kick panel.

yea it is... i looked in my owners manual, but that didnt work.. so screw it leave it there, got my stuff out... me and my buddy looked it over real good and we have decided the frame MIGHT be bent... yikes... this is gay, now i have to wait til monday so i can get a rental car and miss a day from work and all this is all gay... lol note to everyone, if you have a chance to avoid an accident please do, it will save you a lot of time

*edit* i got pictures on my camera but i cant find the cord so ill try to hunt it down when i get back to the house

In 2001 somebody ran a stop sign (wasn't drunk, just not paying attention) and plowed into the driver's side of my '99 Ranger. New fender, door, wheel & tire, most of the left front suspension, cost about $4800 at the time IIRC. Lease was almost up anyway and they were giving $3000 rebates so I just traded it on a new one.
I had a lump on the side of my head.
I still see my old truck around from time to time.

does anyone know where the interia switch is?
On my Sport Trac it is located up high on the firewall on the passenger side where my son's size 13's can kick it and shut off the fuel at 70 mph. Never mind that the manual says it's behind the kick panel. The reset button is on the top of it. You might have to push it more than once and try it with the key both on and off.

yaeh michigan insurance is on the driver, you insure your own ride, so regardless of circumstance you only get what you insure it for. but if i was on the flip side

say i tbone a newer car like a lexus or somethin, and i only had PLPD, i would have to pay for the extras beyond what my insurance covered, but in MI i don't have to

But if your in an accident without insurance regardless of whos fault then the non insured driver is at fault

That is where it is in my parents '90 Explorer too, someone kicked ours just right and unplugged it altogether.

Doesn't look too bad really.

yea its not horrible... just something about it scares me... like this thing is never gonna drive right again

Ok so heres the low down... just got off the phone with the body shop, he didnt have it all priced out yet, but heres everything thats gonna need to be replaced.
tie rod, upper and lower control arms, steering knuckle, bumper, fender, headlight, foglight, and a wheel...plus whatever, paint and labor... haha im not sure how much its gonna be he said he would try to call me b4 5 to let me know a price

Nah, it's not bad enough to worry about that. My Ranger was hit a lot worse.

its fixable don't worry.you'll only have problems if the insurance adjuster low balls your claim and tries to cut corners.thats when customers get bad results from the bodyshop.one thing i'de look at is the wimpy rack and pinion on the truck.they break easily in collisions especially with enough force to bend the tierod like that.they will more than likely replace your suspension parts with junk yard stuff since youre truck wasen't new in the first place, just try and get them to get a rack with it when that happens.

If they use junkyard or "Recyled" parts give it the fifth degree when you pick it up to make sure everything is right. My "Recycled" bumper that I got when I hit my deer has little dimples in it that it took me a week to notice. I found an aftermarket bumper for the same price as the used one on my receipt, that is what irks me the most.
