The title pretty much sums it up. Going down the road and it'll start to sputter for a second and then it dies. Can't be jumped by popping the clutch, you have to shut the key off and restart the truck. Then it'll run fine for a bit. I've ran a code scanner on it and it doesn't come back with anything.

we will need to know more about the vehicle.year,engine,etc...

Sorry, I must've gotten ahead of myself. It's a 93' 4 banger, 2wd, manual...

have you tried pulling the codes?checked wires under the hood?you might also post this in 4 cyl engine section.

I have ran the codes on it, and nothing comes back. I didn't post in the 4 cyl because I wasn't sure that was cool on here... double posts and whatnot. I've looked at all the most common things I can think of. Plugs, wires, loose connections. It is a 93 and it's not perfect, but it's always been a pretty reliable truck. I've also noticed that at 35mph and in 3rd gear... not sure of the rpm's. It'll do the stall thing every time. Makes me think maybe the TPS?

fuel filter, fuel pump, plugs and wires, vacuum leaks, emissions components, just some things to check.

A dead spot in the TPS is a possibility. Stick a voltmeter in it and turn the key on and see what you get. Should be smooth 1-5V, with 1V closed and 5V at WOT. Note you don't need the engine running for this.

However, it's a little odd that you don't get a Continuous TPS code when this happens. A dead spot should whang it out of range.
