I just bought a 2wd 91 ranger with the front driver side wheel bearings destroyed and the spindle gouged up. I bought a new spindle from a junk yard, but where the holes are for the ball joints are not the same on the new spindle. The junk yard said it was from a 91. Does anybody know anything about these. My truck is an 2wd, ext cab, 3.0L, 5 sp. Do I need to find a spindle off of an identical truck? Any help would greatly be appreciated.

if you have a 1991 you need a spindle off of an '89-94 2wd ranger.

Anything later and it'll have a bolt-on caliper bracket for the newer
two-piston brake calipers.

Anything earlier, say off to a 1983-88 will have the balljoints pressed into the beam
They are completely different.
