Spindle nut thickness?

I got 2 sets of spindle nuts from the junkyard to do the manual hub conversion. One set is from a ranger and the other was off an explorer. The explorer nuts are thicker than the ones that were on the ranger. Does it make any difference?

No it doesn't matter if they are thicker. F150's have thicker spindle nuts as well, well the inner nut is thicker anyway.
