Same Problem

I have a 1997 Mazda b4000 4x4. I think we have the same problem except mine is doing it without being in 4x4. I changed it the week before X-Mas because it was bucking at a steady speed, well it started doing it again this week. I talked to the local Ford dealer and they say the gear that drives the gear on the speed sensor is worn. Hmmm sounds exspensive. Im in the same boat as you...not sure what direction to go in. Did you figure yours out yet??
