Speedometer

Alright, got the motor in and it’s runnin great. Now I’m tryin to figure out the speedometer. I spent all last night and about an hour this morning scrolling through speedometer specific forums on TRS and haven’t really found anything definitive or specific to the set up I have. I have an 88 ranger with the M5R2OD and BW 44-06 T-case. Can I some how get an adapter to get the speedometer to work? Can I get a whole new cable to plug into my instrument cluster? Would it just be easier to go Dakota digital and if so do they have anything that matches up with the 1988 dash? I haven’t been able to find anything.

There's been some talk about this in the past year and one person was able to successfully add a speedo gear to a 4406 but I think the '97 models might have had a speedo gear...

I went GPS, it was so much easier. The one I got is from Speedhut and the lock ring it came with fit perfectly on the original plate back there that held on the stock speedometer. No calibration, doesn’t matter my tire size, it worked out well! Also was able to customize it, it worked out great!
