Speedometer

My 1997 B2300 odometer works, but my speedometer stays at 0. How do check the cable behind the instrument cluster?

I'm not that knowledgeable in this area, but I would probably locate where the speedo cable connects to the transmission. There might be a plastic gear there that is worn.

I believe the speedo is totally electric. I've had the cluster out on my 95 B2300, and there was no cable.
If the odometer is working, but not the speedo, it sounds like the speedo unit itself has gone bad.
