Speedometer cable replacement 93 Ranger

Have a '93 Ranger 4WD, manual trans. Trying to replace the speedometer cable housing but for the life of me cannot figure out how to remove the old one from the transmission. Trans is still bolted up, so all I can see is the cable housing going into what appears to be a white nylon covered sleeve, with a gold aluminum sleeve over the nylon. Recently had a shop replace the gear at the end of the cable but did not look at the cable before they worked on it so not sure if something is missing. I have the new cable assembly (housing + inner cable) so just need some help getting the old one out.

That isnt the speedo cable. That is the hydraulic line that goes from your master to your slave cylinder. Go further back, it is on the transfer case. Forget how it is held in there but i think it is just one bolt or something....real easy to take out.

its just 1 bolt holding it in, and theres an electrical connector you have to disconnect I think, its right above the electric switch motor if you have an electric t-case.

Roger that - just needed get it off the ground a bit more and quickly found the real deal - thanks. Swap took every bit of 20 minutes including the dash side.
