speedo staggering

hi I have a 99 mazda bravo 4x4 petrol the speedo goes uo toabout 60 kph then jumps to 90 and when i back off it stick on 90 till i thump the dash ..the trip meter is aokhttp://www.therangerstation.com/forums/images/smilies/icon_cheers.gif
