speedo gear help

im need to find out some info on how to know what speedo gear i need..i have a white one and a dark orange one...im working with a 85 ranger with a 302 and a c4 tranny..my speedometer is off no matter which one i use..its close with the orange one but still off...im running 3.08 gears, 26 inch tires..

What are the tooth counts on the two gears you have?
How close are you with the orange gear and does it read high or low?
