has anyone used the JET Accu-Speed Control Units 50109 on a 1993 ford ranger and if so did it work i going to be changing gear ratios and tire size

You have a dual system on the '93
Speedometer/odometer is cable driven from trans or transfer case.
And there is a VSS(electronic speed sensor) on that connection at the trans/transfer, it is used by the computer, cruise and ABS only

So as far as I know you can change the gear on the cable end to match new wheel size and/or ratio.

The gear changes cable speed and VSS speed at the same time.
