Hey guys my speedo stopped working the other day and the cluster was working fine figured I would check the other end of the cable. Found the spot where it mates with the transmission but the cable pulled right, luck was the only thing holding it in I guess. I am clearly missing a piece and my manual and google have not helped me yet. Anyone have the same truck, bronco or something comparable with a cable attached correctly that you can snap a pic of this for me so I can see what it should look like?

Thanks

I can get pics tomorrow if I remember. There is an arm and bolt that hold the gear ib the trans and just a butterfly clip to hold the cable in the gear.

Did the entire cable just come out, sheath and all? Is the driven gear still clipped to the end of the cable? Is the crow's-foot shaped bracket (that ADSM mentioned) still bolted to the transmission?
