2.3L ('83-'97) Specs on intake manifold bolt.

Hi all,

I just replaced my injectors for an intermittent misfire on cylinder 3, and the last jacklegs who owned my truck didnt put one of the bolts back in. This would be bolt number six...ironically, the one right next to the misfiring cylinder (after replacing the plugs, wires, coils, compression test (good) and fuel filter.

Can anyone tell me the specs on this bolt so I can look for one online (length/thread, etc)?
*Just to be clear, I dont need the torque specs, but the bolt itself.

Probably your best bet is to hit up a hardware store carrying one of the other original bolts. Highly likely it's metric. That should help narrow it down faster.

Yeah, most likely 8mm standard pitch but I don't know how long without taking apart my '97, I might open the hood at some point today and have a look, if it's not too hard I'll try...

is it broke off in the head?
assuming it's completely missing just run a wire into the hole to measure length, subtract 1/8" or 4mm to allow bottom clearance.

or measure to the head surface then add 1/2" or 13mm.
better to get a longer bolt then shorten as necessary.
